Ctrl + Space doesn't work
Heya,
The title says it all really. On my gf's pc, all key combinations seem to be working perfectly fine, apart from ( left ) ctrl + space. Quite annoying when you want to call targets. Pressing space or ctrl separately causes no problems, together however, they do.
I have had this on my own pc a long while ago before, and I have no idea what I did to fix it.
This is what I've tried so far:
- Reinstalling GW entirely
- Replugging the keyboard
- Checked button settings
Any ideas?

To translate the above, MSN+ has a function that intercepts CTRL+Space, and doesn't pass it on to GW. You can either find out what that function is and disable it (I don't know what it is), or turn off MSN entirely.

YES! Thank you, that was it! I (gf speaking now) installed messenger + a couple of days ago, and since then targeting didn't work. When I changed the controls to something else, it did. Really frustrating. I've found out how to shut that irritating lockdown:
Under your name in the MSN main window, there are seven icons (including the 'go to hotmail' button). The one before last says Messenger plus live extras. Click it, and choose preferences. Now you've opened the preferences window. Go to the second tab called Messenger. On the left there are 4 sub tabs. The second one is called (I think, I've got the Dutch version) Lock down. Enter it, and shut down the first one in the list, or change the controls.
Thank you so much!

Don`t know why are Americans such good translators. Probably cause they can`t understand anything if u don`t explain them in great detail.
Aera thanks for posting how to disable that function.

I think you'll find that Quaker is Canadian.
I also think that he translated that to make it easier to understand for those of us to whom English is the first language.
